My fiancee and I had the opportunity to see MUSE in 2023 and I could honestly say that it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to! The opener was One.Ok.Rock!, followed by Evanescence (who were also spectacular). MUSE was the main headliner and they lived up to the reputation they've garnered. I was shocked at the level of polish in terms of how they sounded live on stage. Of course, going in to this concert I was mostly only well-versed in a lot of the older MUSE albums like Black Holes and Revalations, The Resistance, etc. They played a lot of songs from "Will of the People". Since then, I have listened to it more and am delighted! MUSE themselves said that it is "a greatest hits album of new songs" which is a pretty apt description.
Some of the main themes of this album include anarchy, corporate rule, and impending doom from climate change. I recommend looking up the singles on YouTube to see the really neat accompanying music videos (the visuals are pretty insane!). One of my personal favorite tracks on this album is "You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween", a wacky opera-rock track in the vein of Bach's Tocata and Fugue in D-Minor. Listen!
